I Feel Compelled to Clarify…

OK – I’ve been really taking a ribbing here in the monastery for the way I worded the departure of one of our three postulants in my last blog post.

They tell me I should have mercy and reiterate the situation…

Soooo…this Friday one of our postulants is “leaving” because she will officially become a novice!  That’s right…Elizabeth is leaving the stage of postulancy and will officially be admitted to religious life.

Keep a close watch on Friday when, God-willing and the creek don’t rise, I will post a reflection Sister has written about her new name along with a picture of the new novice!

By the way, check out this page where you can learn more about the stages in our formation.

  1. Haha, I was definitely shocked too, but it actually gave me a good laugh when I realized what you actually meant. You got me! Many prayers for Elizabeth!

  2. I have to say, Sister, I thought she was leaving the monastery and thought – Oh no, she just made her habits!! Relieved when I read further. Whew!
Can’t wait to see the pics from Friday and learn her new name.

  3. Just as Candice experienced shock, I was stunned when I read the blog entry. I immediately started writing a letter and for my own clarification, reread the post only to discover that there was more text after the picture. I do believe shock waves went out to all your readers! Lots of big hugs and congratulations to Elizabeth!

  4. That’s ok Sisters all of that read the whole thing understood why Elizabeth was leaving postulantcy.(is that a word) and it could not be for a better reason!! Pax

We'd love to hear from you...
