Postulants, Novices and Vocation Animation!

As I write to you, my monastic community has entered into a four-day retreat in preparation for our annual communal devotional renewal of vows on Saturday – the Feast of the Presentation of Mary in the Temple.  Please keep us in prayer during these sacred days. Our Passionist brother in the Lord – Fr. Antonio Curto, C.P. – is with us giving us spiritual conferences.

Now, for a little vocation update…

You see this smiling postulant below?  This is one of the last times you will see her here as a postulant…

that’s right…she has been accepted to receive the holy habit!  Join us in thanking God for Christie Anna’s upcoming clothing and naming day. This will take place on Tuesday, December 8th! Please keep her and her loved ones in your prayers.

Thanks for your prayers for our vocation retreat October 23 – 25. Four wonderful young women joined us for the retreat.

Four gals from northern Illinois, Virginia, Arkansas and Kentucky joined us for our October 2015 Vocation Retreat

One of these young ladies remained for a week-long live-in after the retreat. She originally made a retreat here in May. Throughout the summer thoughts of Passionist life continued to come to her mind.

Please keep up the prayers for these women as they continue to seek to find, follow and fulfill God’s plan for their lives. Perhaps you would like to join us for our next retreat? Click here to get information about the vocation retreats of 2016.

Will this young lady be a Passionist Nun in 10 - 12 years? We hope so!

A little friend of ours dressed up for an All Saints Day party!  Possibly a future Passionist Nun?  Well, before we have more nuns we need more postulants!  That’s right. After Christie Anna is vested on December 8 we will no longer have any postulants…who will be the next one?

  1. *Dearest Sisters, I do so love reading up on all of your news. And many thanks for sharing so much about your beautiful Order! So much of what y’all share serves to deeply enrich my own spiritual & prayer life, for which I am profoundly grateful & thankful. It is deeply heartening to learn that the Passionist Nuns, along with so many other Contemplative Nuns, are enjoying steady growth, drawing in so many beautiful, loving, sacrificial, generous souls to wait directly on our Precious Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, to console Him, to give Him the constant faithful love & adoration that He most certainly deserves! And also for your tender mothering of us poor souls in the world~ always going before the Lord with our needs, spiritual, physical, material~ all of our needs. THANK Y’ALL! You too, are all in my daily thoughts & prayers. With Loving Appreciation, in Jesus & Mary~ Kate *

  2. Thank you for sharing the lovely photos. I am praying not only for Christie Anna who will soon be ‘one of the big kids,’ but for more young women to enter the postulancy.

  3. I am so excited for Christie Anna and all of you with the upcoming celebration in December! God continues to call and women are listening. May He soon bring you another postulant to discern the Passionist vocation.

What a beautiful little girl who dressed as a Passionist! Thanks for sharing her picture. Certainly she must be inspired by you all.

My prayers for you during your retreat. May God shower you with HIs love.

We'd love to hear from you...
