Latest Newsletter – Celebrating 20 Years in Whitesville and More…

Last fall we celebrated 20 grace-filled years of living in Whitesville, Kentucky. Prior to this we had lived 50 years in Owensboro, which is about 20 minutes from here. Click here to read about the relocation of our monastery from the city to the country. *(You won’t want to miss reading this issue and seeing the photos our nuns from the early ’90’s.!)

This year we are celebrating 20 years from the Blessing of our Monastery chapel on Divine Mercy Sunday 1996 to the Jubilee Year of Mercy 2016.

You can read more about it in our most recent newsletter.

You will also find there

  • a reflection by Sr. Rose Marie about “A Passionist Journey: Following the Bridegroom into the Interior Desert”
  • a reflection by Sr. Maria Faustina on the meaning of her new name and title
  • a reflection by Fr. Alvaro Interiano, priest of the Galveston-Houston Diocese, who recently made a private retreat in our guest house.  While here he regaled us with stories about his “encounters” with Passionist saints.
  • an update on our Oblate Affiliate Christie Swanson and the obituary of her son who died tragically January 21, 2016. May he rest in eternal peace.

  1. Hello Sister,
I have the same issue with the newsletter. The text link works fine, but the “click here” arrow graphic does not work. I don’t know very much about html, but I looked in the code and I don’t see the address link for the newsletter for the image.

  2. Hi Bev,
I will certainly pass on your condolences to Christie. Thank you.
We are not having any trouble here when we click on the link for the newsletters above. Is anyone else having trouble?

    • Hi Sponsa Christi!
The first “Check out our latest newsletter” with the large blue arrow produces just a blank page after the click. However, the actual link in blue (after the statement ” you can read more about this in our………”)produces the absolutely beautiful newsletter. Hope this helps.
I also send deepest sympathy to Christie

  3. I would love to read your latest newsletter but unfortunately when I click on it I just get a blank page.
I was saddened to read that Oblate Christie lost her son. I could think of nothing worse than the loss of a child. Please convey my sincere sympathy and let her know I am praying for her son’s soul and for her too.

We'd love to hear from you...
